Treating A Fever
Our bodies thrive in a balanced harmony and when one thing is off, it will affect other things. The normal temperature for a human body is 98.6.
A common fever would then be described as temperature over that point. When your body gets a fever it is reacting to something going on in your body.
A fever will raise the temperature of your body in order to fight off injury or infection. Usually, we think of a fever as a response to a cold or flu. There are fevers that have no rhyme or reason.
Symptoms of a fever include; increased body heat, tiredness, headache, body ache, increase in pulse and respiration. As the fever gets higher you will shiver, feel awful, and lethargic. Once the fever begins to break you will sweat and then dump a lot of urine, and finally feel better.
Other symptoms may include;
muscle pain, skin rashes, joints ache, runny nose, cough, sore throat, diarrhea, and vomiting.
Some Common Causes for a Common Fever
- Hormone problems
First, off you should always contact a physician if your fever is prolonged (over three days) or high, over 104 degrees.
Things you can do at home remove the clothes, dip a sheet in cold water, and spread over the body, covering it with a blanket. Make sure to change the sheet every 10-20 minutes.
Yarrow – This is wonderful for fevers. Small children and babies, just make an infusion with 1-2 ounces of yarrow in a quart jar, cover with boiling water and leave for 4-5 hours. Strain.
If you are an adult, make it the same, but sponge bath your body completely, even to the bottoms of your feet.
You can also drink some yarrow tea. Use 2 – 4 grams of dried herb in 1 cup boiling water for 5 minutes, strain, and drink 3 cups a day.
Basil leaves – Make a tea and drink 1-2 times a day
Lemon – Good hydrated. Just add lemon to water, a pinch of salt, and drink throughout the fever.
Elderflowers – Promotes sweating. Put one ounce of elder and one-ounce peppermint with a quart of water. Heat but do not boil. Let it steep for 10 minutes, strain, and drink.
Rose – A great compress to lay upon the forehead when you have a fever. In a bowl add 1 cup water, two cupfuls of white vinegar, and rose water.
Cure A Kidney Stone
I found this video because the other night I got another kidney stone. I have had at least 12 and one surgically removed. Not sure why I have never searched for help with kidney stones using herbal remedies but up until the last episode I used only drugs to get through it.
So it was in pain that I chose to see if this herbal remedy would work for me. Upfront I knew that it was not an instant thing and I would have to endure some pain. It took only three days to relieve the pain. I was so very happy.
Kidney Stones are normally made up of calcium oxalate and they are very difficult if not impossible to dissolve. The normal method to get rid of them is to pass them through the urinary tract and out. But oh my is that painful.
Watch and learn about Chanca Piedra (Stone Crusher)
Don’t know about other people but my symptoms were intense and since I had repeated episodes I learned to catch it at the earliest sign. I first got nauseous, then had kidney flank pain, and finally blood in my urine.
Common symptoms of kidney stones
Intense pain below the ribs in the back, can radiate to the groin and belly.
Hurts to urinated
Nausea and vomiting
So again I can say this worked for me. Will it work for everyone? I really can not say, but if you have ever had a kidney stone then I know you are willing to try anything that will help.
