Long Beach Harbor Commissioners have adopted a truck scheme opposed by environmentalists and public health groups who recognize that half-baked measures won't be enough to clean the air, or create good jobs.

By breaking with their partner Los Angeles and rushing to act on a trucks measure that leaves so many questions unanswered (we submitted a list of 100 at yesterday's Harbor Commission meeting) Long Beach has many community members wondering, "Does the Long Beach plan include a weekly prayer session that the broken port trucking market will fix itself?"
